Vivo introduced the Vivo S6 5G smartphone in China through an online presentation. The device has a quad camera which supports 4K video recording, 5G support and a battery with fast charging at 18 watts. The main feature of the smartphone is 5G support at a relatively low price.
The Vivo S6 5G is a successor to the mid-ranger Vivo S5 smartphone which was launched last year.
The smartphone sports a 6.44-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of FHD + (2400 × 1080 pixels), 20: 9 aspect ratio, an in-display fingerprint reader and a drop-cutout notch for housing a 32-megapixel front selfie camera.
The device is powered by a Samsung’s Exynos 980 processor with 5G support in conjunction with 8 GB of RAM and 128/256 GB of storage.

The rear main camera comes in a quad setup and includes sensors with a resolution of 48MP, 8MP, 2MP and 2MP, the front camera has a resolution of 32 megapixels.
The front camera supports Super-Clear mode for night shooting, which uses new algorithms and illuminates the screen in advance for brighter frames. In addition, the smartphone received Hi-Res Audio certification – this ensures that the device’s audio system is capable of reproducing sound at frequencies above 20 kHz.
There is also a battery with a capacity of 4500 mAh with support for 18-watt charging. The device is available in three colors to choose from: black and two with gradient colors blue and white.
The Vivo S6 5G will be available for purchase in China starting April 3.
