Oppo Reno 8 Series possible designs revealed in 3D renders based on design patent

Oppo releases new phones on a regular basis for every price segment. There are cheaper models in the A-series. The mid-range devices can be found in the Reno line, while the flagship versions can be found in the Find series. The Oppo Find X5 series, which will include the Find X5 Pro as the next top model, is anticipated in March 2022. The device’s design has been finalized after the release of the first live photographs.
Images obtained by LetsGoDigital show what appears to be an unofficial Oppo phone. Guangdong Oppo Mobile Telecommunications Corp. Ltd. has filed a design patent in China, and here are the official product photographs from it. Color renderings of an as-yet-unknown Oppo smartphone are included in the paperwork, showing the device from all angles.
Which Model Could This Be ?
The smartphone includes a unique camera that extends over the entire width of the device. About a third of the back panel is taken up by this. On the left, there is a triple camera setup with an LED flash on the right side, which is comparable to the Oppo Reno 6.
There are three alternative color options for the mobile phone in the patent images: black, silver, and a blue gradient variety, as can be seen in the first image of this article.
It’s also worth noting that the three camera lenses on the gray model are surrounded by a colored light ring. Unfortunately, there’s no way to test this out yet. Oppo knows how to persuade young people to buy its products since it pays a lot of attention on the devices’ looks.
Moreover, a view from the side indicates that the camera barely protrudes somewhat from the phone’s housing, as described in the patent. Zooming in and out will probably be limited. Owing to the current decrease in zoom range, I believe Oppo’s past 10x Hybrid zoom smartphone releases have been a significant loss to the Oppo brand’s history.
This phone’s model name has yet to be revealed. Is it a new Reno phone if it isn’t the Find X5? To far, the most recent versions are the Oppo Reno 7 handsets, which were unveiled in China at the end of December 2021. The Reno 6 and Reno 6 Pro are available in the Netherlands. The new Oppo Reno 8 Pro is slated to be released in the fall of 2022, with the rest of the Reno 8 series following suit. There is very little information available about this model.
Indeed, the design is quite similar to one created by Dutch graphic artist Jermaine Smit, better known as Concept Creator. Conceptual design for a “Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra” was made by the designer in August 2021. The camera island on this phone was identical to the one depicted in the image above.
The design is very similar to the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra in certain ways. While Oppo’s version lacks a second display, Xiaomi decided to fill the void with a second screen.
An additional feature of the Oppo phone is its thin screen margins and the placement of a punch-hole camera system in the upper left corner. Also, the rounded corners on the front are reminiscent of the Reno 6’s design. A right-frame design, like that of the iPhone 13 models, has been chosen for the Reno 7. The patented form, on the other hand, does not have this problem, which is great news for the hand-fit because those sharp edges are still comfortable to hold.
The typical places to find the buttons have been retained. The power button is on the right, and the volume controls are on the left. Additionally, the SIM card slot is located to the left.
For the time being, we don’t know when this phone will be released. The Oppo Reno 8 Pro, if it’s what we think it is, will arrive in the latter part of 2022. This Oppo phone appears to have a good possibility of becoming a reality due to the design patent containing both color renders.
