The Bengaluru-based electric two-wheeler startup Oben Electric has launched its Oben Rorr electric bike in Delhi. The company recently expanded its operations in Delhi. Earlier, this e-bike was available only in Bengaluru.
Oben has set a special price for the e-bike for Delhi residents, which is for the initial few customers. The Oben Rorr electric motorcycle has a top speed of 100 Kmph, and the company claims that it can deliver a range of 187 Km (IDC) on a single charge. Its direct competitors in India are the Revolt RV400 and the Hop Electric OXO.
The Oben Rorr has been launched in Delhi at an introductory price of Rs. 1.10 lakh (ex-showroom with state subsidy). This special price is for the initial 100 customers. It is worth noting that this is a discount of around Rs. 40,000 on the original price of the e-bike. The company recently inaugurated its first showroom in Pitampura, Delhi, where customers can experience the Rorr.

The Oben Rorr was launched last year, and bookings for the electric motorcycle have been ongoing since then. In terms of features, the Rorr electric bike is equipped with a permanent magnet motor capable of delivering a peak output of 8kW. Its peak torque is 62Nm, and it comes with a belt drive system. Thanks to these features, the electric bike can reach a top speed of 100 kilometers per hour and, according to the company’s claim, accelerate from 0 to 40 km/h in 3.0 seconds.
The electric bike comes with three riding modes: Eco, City, and Havoc, limiting the speed to 50 km/h, 70 km/h, and 100 km/h, respectively, but also affecting the range. The range in these three modes is 150 km, 120 km, and 100 km, respectively. It features a 4.4kWh fixed battery pack that supports fast charging. The company claims that this pack can be charged from 0 to 80 percent in just two hours with the help of a 15A power socket. The good news is that the company says it will install a 15A capacity socket at the customer’s home without any additional charge. The single-charge IDC range of the electric bike is stated to be 187 Km.
Along with the bike, Oben Electric has also developed a compatible app, which, when paired, will display various important information about the electric bike and allow control. Through this app, users can locate their bike using GPS and diagnose it. It also includes support for theft protection (Geo-Fencing) and a Driver Alert System (DAS).
