AnTuTu Drives Into EV Infotainment Benchmarking

AnTuTu, the renowned benchmark developer known for its smartphone performance tests, has expanded its horizons by venturing into the electric vehicle (EV) market with a groundbreaking new app. This innovative tool aims to provide a standardized way to evaluate the user experience within an EV by assessing the capabilities of its infotainment system.

Comprehensive Infotainment System Evaluation

Similar to its smartphone counterpart, the AnTuTu EV benchmark app puts the car’s chipset, RAM, and storage through a series of rigorous tests to generate a comprehensive performance score. By simulating real-world usage scenarios, the benchmark evaluates the responsiveness, fluidity, and overall performance of the infotainment system, providing a quantifiable metric for comparison.

Unveiling the Initial EV Benchmark Rankings

Alongside the announcement, AnTuTu has released its initial EV benchmark rankings, compiled from tests conducted in May 2024. These rankings shed light on which car manufacturers are prioritizing a smooth and responsive infotainment experience for their customers.Leading the pack are the Zeekr 007, the Xpeng X9, and the Mercedes EQE, showcasing impressive infotainment system performance. These top contenders are followed by other notable EVs, including the Xpeng P7i (8th place), the Nio ET7 (12th place), the Polestar 2 (14th place), and the Audi Q4 e-tron (17th place).

Evolving Rankings and Continuous Improvement

The rankings also included the recently launched Xiaomi SU7, which initially scored lower than anticipated. However, a subsequent test this month revealed a significantly higher score of 957,833 points, potentially bumping it up to fourth place. This highlights the evolving nature of the rankings and the potential for car manufacturers to refine their infotainment systems over time, ensuring a better user experience for drivers.

Empowering Manufacturers and Consumers

The AnTuTu EV benchmark is gaining popularity, proving beneficial for both car makers and car buyers. Manufacturers can leverage the benchmark to identify areas for improvement in their infotainment systems, ensuring a more responsive and user-friendly experience for drivers. Consumers, on the other hand, can utilize the rankings as a data point when comparing different EV models, allowing them to prioritize vehicles that offer a superior in-car technological experience alongside traditional considerations like range and horsepower. As the electric car market continues to evolve, the AnTuTu EV benchmark holds promise for a more informed and data-driven approach to evaluating infotainment systems. By providing a comprehensive and standardized rating system, this new tool aims to improve how infotainment systems are assessed, ultimately benefiting both car makers and car buyers in making better-informed choices.

Note: The scores represent the performance metrics provided by the Antutu benchmark for car systems, reflecting the performance of the vehicle’s computing capabilities.
